Fighting Flowers
The sun shines sweetly, blessing the field with rays
The one thing that’s sure, it will rise every day
The field below is scattered, chaos amongst ordinary light
Oh why does everyone have to get up and fight?
We all stand guarded under the vast blue sky
We wake up in the morning and go to sleep to a lullaby
So why do we wake
And carelessly throw words we make
I don’t want to stand out like a weed in wildflowers
A weed who thinks what it’s doing is right
But eventually discovers
It’s better just to not care and fight
To fight with another, punch out the feelings
A free for all fight, but none of us are healing
Perhaps eventually we will change
And be united as one, under the sunrays
