Sitting on this lonely chair

A wooden desk is all that greets me

Many others are sprawled around

Doing things of akin purpose

The teacher’s rattling off her head

Whilst my neighbors snoring off mine

The ticking of the clock is all my brain discerns

No daydreams save me this time

Though I can’t say the same

about my dear neighbor

The minutes are stretching on endlessly

The children are starting to murmmer and skwirm

Oh finally I’m slipping off into a dream

I hope it will last, till the end of this dreaded
