A young girl decided to venture off the nearby parks trail when she caught a glimpse of the frozen pond. The pond where a majority of her summer memories spring from. As she tapped her foot on the lakes icy glass surface, testing its boundaries. She then put all of her weight down and to her surprise nothing happened. This body of water was rock solid. She began slowly walking across its surface, using her arms for balance to keep from slipping backwards. After shuffling across a few yards of ice, she began to look downwards at her feet. She swore she could see a stuck fish trapped underneath the ponds thick barrier. The girl came to halt, slowly bending over and squinting her eyes at what lie beneath the ice. Her face was about a foot or two away from the barrier when she jumped back with a loud gasp. The child became terrified at what she just saw, that she was already a few feet from the land within seconds. What lie trapped underneath the transparent surface was the face of a man who was trapped below the ice. His face swollen with shades of purple in various locations on his cheeks. His lips were triple the size of what they should be and you could tell it was busted open. At the looks of it this man took a brutal beating before being cast into the water. Probably a few days before it solidifed.
