WRITING OBSTACLE
If victory had a literal taste, it would taste like…
A New Item On The Menu
“Victory,” I said reading the menu, “a sweet chicken dish for winners.”
“Huh? That sounds interesting let’s try it,” Vanessa stated.
We pulled up to the speaker and told the KFC worker our order:
“What would you like to eat?” The worker spoke in a dead tone.
“Two Victories please!” I smiled.
“Okay, is that all?” The worker, Kai (I red his name tag), asked.
“Yep! That’s it, thank you,” I answered.
“Okay, pull up to the next window,” Kai explained.
I pulled up to the second window and waited.
“I wonder if this ‘Victory’ is going to taste good. I mean, sweet chicken,” I told Vanessa.
“People say Victory tastes good so I think it will be good,” Vanessa reassured me.
“Here you go. Have a great day,” Kai mumbled.
“You too,” I said as I drove away. I drove home quickly (while still obeying road law) so I could fully enjoy this experience.
“Welp, let’s see how these sandwiches taste!” Vanessa exclaimed.
“Okay,” I began to peel back the wrapper and dig my teeth into the soft bread. The chicken and sweet apricot sauce complimented each other surprisingly well. Vanessa and I sat in her car slowly eating our sandwiches. We HAD to savor the delicious meal.
“This is so good!” Vanessa said with her mouth full.
“I know!” I agreed.
_The moral of the story is that Victory tastes great!_
