The Eternal Gardens

As I go to bed, I couldn’t be happier. My heart feels as if it’s pounding out of my chest and into my throat and I can’t breathe. I’m getting married! To the love of my life! I’ve been so depressed since my wife died, getting married to the love of my life is just the thing to get me on my two feet again! I brush my teeth, and lay down into bed. I hug my wife, and whisper “Good night, my love” She chuckles, and I turn over, and soon fall asleep. I soon awake in a bridge in the middle of the beautiful viridian, flowery 🌹 forest. I see her. Her long, night black hair, and golden sun hat. Deep blue eyes, the color of the glittering sea. Her death weighs on me like a car. “Victoria,” I gasp, “I thought you were dead! Oh how I missed you!” Her cherry red lips move outward as she sighs. “If that is so, why are you marrying your mistress?” “It’s just to get my mind off you! I swear! I love you more than life itself!” My love smiles slightly, with a hint of pity. I run to her, and when she backs up, I collapse to the ground and begin begging for forgiveness. She spins responds, “Well, I suppose all sinners must be forgiven” She holds out her hand and I take it immediately. I press my lips to hers, and her lips are as smooth and soft as I remember. “If you truly love me, stay with me here. Everything’s immortal here, we’ll be together forever. With all the love, but no stress waiting for a death” “Yes! Absolutely yes! I’ll be with you for eternity, my love!” She smiles, looking a bit sinister. She tightens her grip on my hand and begins walking. Faster. We soon arrive at a small cottage with a few flower 🌹 bushes and a small hare hopping about. A small pond next to the bushes catches my eye. As I begin walking towards it, I hear Victoria’s voice say, “Oh! I forgot something! Here, it mandatory that you wear a flower in your hair, it represents how long you have left until the bugs get you! It’s really just a decoration honestly!” “Alright! But, what are the bugs?” “Oh, the bugs are just the guards of this place! They’re really powerful! Anyways, it’s getting dark! Let’s go to bed!” I nod, and hurry inside like a child. I fall asleep quickly. I’m absolutely exhausted, I can barely move.

In the middle of the night, I feel like I’m being carried. I hear my love whisper “All sinners must pay” before I felt the wind become stronger, powerfully drifting above me. I feel a searing and unbearable pain in my chest. I open my eyes as much as I can, though that’s not much. I almost scream when I see the flower begin wilting.. and then I remember what Victoria said earlier about everything being immortal here.
