Goodbyes Are Too Hard Poem

He packed his final bags with a frown

I’m going to miss his hair, it’s the prettiest brown

It was raining as we drove to the airport

I’m going to miss looking in his eyes like it’s a sport

As I walked him up to his gate

I stood there to wait

I was expecting him to turn around

To kiss me and hug me to the ground

But just like he said before

“Goodbyes are too hard”

I can just fill my heart melting

I’m like a flower that’s wilting

“Why does he have to go away” I pray

Goodbyes are too hard they say
