POEM STARTER
Imagine you are a young child attempting rhyming poetry for the first time.
Consider the language you use to reflect the child’s age. Also try to think about what would be an important topic for them to write about.
A Faceless Smile (Not The Prompt)
Once upon a time I would have wandered
For the place and time of inspiration
But how long has it been
Since the sun and the moon have seen my smile
It wasnt in the spring
Where the chirping birds
Only reminded me of my loss and of you
Nor in the winter or the fall
As I tried, maybe just a little to hard
To please anyone, someone but me
But here in this giardino
While my face only shows concentration
A faceless smile, open teeth and all
Reminds me of the lost years and happiness
