Sitting here and waiting

Hoping you would call

It doesn’t seem to matter

You never have no time

I sit around and wonder

Will she call my phone today

I did not hear from her

I don’t think I really matter

I waste my time and wait and wait

My phone it never rings, I stop and think

She does not care, I do not ever get a call

I am sad she does not know,

I feel that I must go

My kids are grown

And have moved on

Nothing seems to change

She doesn’t seem to realize

Why I’m so confused

I think she knows, but does not care

She must want to be alone
