POEM STARTER
Write a series of three haikus about different aspects of something you love.
Haikus have the syllabic form of 5, 7, 5 syllables per line. Consider how you could use multiple Haiku to create a three-dimensional portrait of your chosen thing.
Me, Rye, And The Sky
I learned when I was
Young that I loved myself with heart
Even though I was imperfect
And that is okay to
Me and everyone around me too so
Why should I feel sorry
I learned in the year
2019 that I loved him with his
Sparkly eyes and curly hair
I know that he loves
Me too and I am grateful for
That so I love him
I learned today that I
Love the sky even though we are
Different and not the same
The sky is blue whereas
I am pale, never will fly with
The wind in my hair
