Miss Periwinkle lived in a little neighborhood in a little house. Her door was red but only in September. She’d never paint it blue, that would cause great misfortune.

Oh but heavens above! She rolled out of bed on the wrong side! She stepped out on her left foot instead of her right. She banged into her side table, knocking over her salt, spilling it all over the floor. Her hand mirror tumbled down and shattered.

“7 years bad luck!” She cries and glances at her calendar.
