Splatter

The knife scrapes across the floor as I pick it up. The blood splatter makes it look so pretty, even though I didn’t use it. I look down at the body on the concrete floor. “I hate when people ruin my plans!” I yell as I throw the knife and it sticks satisfyingly into the wall. “All you had to do was not fight. Everyone always has to do things the hard way.” I grumble as I pick up the spent shell casings carefully, then pull my gloves off with them in the middle. I smirk as I watch the bloody pool spread like a- I don’t even have a metaphor for it. It’s simply euphoric. I even giggle a little as I see her open, soulless eyes. “Goodnight.” I say as I slip out of the warehouse and wait for the police to find her body. I pull on my uniform and badge, and place my hat on as I eagerly wait for the cop cars.
