Manifesto For Ithaca In C# Locrian

There is a fog in the valley

‘Twixt Hellenic slopes

Wherein you lost your fear

As the skylark fled

Away from the sickening waters

And sludge

Of your saccharine prison

You walk to the fog

Of their endless blood

Knowing the sheer drop

Is within it

The worst is yet to come

O stranger kin

Yet stones mustn’t roll alone

For fog draws down

When the rolling stops

Within fog you see your joy

And I can see it to

But fog I had

And fog we’ll have

And fearless fog

Of loving arms

Like curtains under

Blinding starlight

Draws back in time

And stones must roll

‘Till Olympus ends

Roll oh soar oh eagle

For skylarks and stones

Are tied to the Earth

Condemned to solitude

Seeking for their guide

No man but the sky

For they have learned

Not to trust

The fog that hides the fall
