ScĆØne Piano

The water washed the sand from her toes. It felt soft and silky. Apart from the sound of the waves, everything was still. Lana savored the quiet and the moment of being alone. The horizon was glowing red; night was falling. I should head back before Elowyn starts worrying, she thought. She nudged a seashell with her foot and turned to leave.

Then she stopped.

Where there had been nothing but sand, a white grand piano now stood. Its polished surface reflected the fading light of the sky. The keys gleamed, pale and smooth, and the elegant, curved legs dug gently into the sand, as if they belonged there.

Her breath caught. She stepped closer, hesitant but drawn to it. A smile played at the corners of her mouth, uncertain but intrigued. In Skavania, nothing was impossibleā€”but this feltā€¦ different.
