Lost At Sea

I stopped at the door way, to say my last goodbye.

The only thing I could hear, was my wife’s cry.

I turned my gaze away. And Prepared to leave everything behind.

My forlorn and shipwrecked past life.

Finally lost at sea.

I left my family. To do what pleased me.

My own selfish desire led my heart astray.

My wife prayed that she’d see me again one day.

In this world of darkness and sin, lays a light that few can see. But when I looked close enough it became clear to me.

I broke someone’s heart, it’s peaces scattered across the floor. As I walked down the lonely peer and gazed out upon the sea. I heard my wife, say from behind me. “Did you find everything you were looking for?” Pain displayed like an open book in her voice.

I turned my eyes and met her gaze.

I’m sorry my dear, my heart was led astray.

I’ve become a sinful man. Unworthy of love.

Until I stand before my father,

And am judged accordingly.

There really is no hope for me.

She took my hand and I heard her say.

“My dear, he has thrown your sins as far as the East is from the west.” Tears bagan to stream from my eyes as I said.

But why would he ever love a man like me?

My heart lurched at the words that came from her lips. Though I am a guilty man, deserving of nothing. She chose to forgive me.

And so did he.

Just a little thing I wrote about Gods forgiveness.

Your never to far gone to be forgiven. He longs for you to be in heaven with him one day. And I hope I’ll see you all there. Have a blessed day.
