However You Perceive This…
There in the lake lay a lady
Shrowded in comical grief
Floating forever not fading
Cued the falling leaf.
The veins running green down her arms
Dread spread across her face
Clouded in despair not so far
Was told a heartache.
Where the petals broke away
And the blood ran cold
As even the birds frayed
To the tale of old.
A rose is darling until wither strikes
‘Till the light goes dim
And it’s color wears the night
Like the shade of him.
Discarded was she, the one in the lake
Covered in shadows and leaves,
Birds perched overhead in wait
Watching crimson streams.
If ever you see a tainted water
Where it’s waves tread still
Remember the victim of sluaghter
At your own will.
Once thought she with pleasantries
A chest full of warmth
Now fed to the waters mercies
Like she was at birth.
Her morals entrusted to the hands
Of a wolf in sheep’s clothing
Bewhere the lake of the man
In whom’s trust you are holding.
