With their ear to the door they listen to their parents intently.

“We can’t keep doing this, we have to do what’s best for our child.”

The child was listening to every word and with every word their heart sank deeper and seeps into their stomach.

Their thoughts were swirling in every direction and they found they couldn’t breathe or stop the tears from flowing.

This is what alerted the parents who called to the child gently to come into the living room.

They sat them down and said “things will be different now, but our love will stay the same.”
