POEM STARTER
'The truth finally came to light.'
Write a poem which ends with this line.
It Will All Come Out…it Always Does
Ah marriage…isn’t it wonderful?
Your husband is yours forever til death right?
I mean isn’t that what marriage is supposed to be about?
Two lovers who are meant for each other
Together forever and ever right?
Time passed by swiftly
The romantic connection between the husband and his wife
Slowly dying out as if it was a wilting leaf in the scorching heat
Anniversary dinners continuely die out in a quick succession
Honeymoon? Yeah forget about that….honeymoon what is that?
Honeymoon…to them, that’s a foreign concept
Intimacy no longer exists to them
No longer…only just lies and deception and secrecy from the “husband”
Smells of cheap perfume and reeks of peer desperation from the husband
Asked about it and continues to lie to her face
“Oh it’s just a new perfume I brought” Lie, and yet sleeps in their bed just to try and make sense of it
Wife doesn’t sleep in their bedroom and insteads sleeps alone in the sofa to try and make sense of her sanity
Husband sleeps like peaches and cream
Yet wife doesn’t sleep and tries to make sense of her sanity
Or what’s left or it
But she comes to a realization through her thinking
Hell has no idea what a scorned woman will do
The truth finally came to light.
