I’m becoming one with the door.

The longer I stay the harder it will be to go.

I have to disconnect, cell by cell, and separate myself from that which binds me to you.

Your scent will still linger and I am afraid these memories will last me longer than you did.

I cannot love you as I will only consume you. My body will further rot each second I remain within the same air that you have blessed with your breath.

How could I leave you, my angel?

We are connected both inside and outside of this physical realm. This connection is tearing us apart from the inside and if I don’t change directions we will soon implode. Seeing your hurt and suffering is enough to drive me to insanity. I am afraid that to love you is to leave you alone.

The wind will drag my body far from yours to a new world that will allow you to be free of me. I will spend every lifetime loving you, even if from a distance. My memories of you will bring me to death, but alas I know you will save me my angel.

I must leave you, but know you will never leave me.
