WRITING OBSTACLE
Demonstrate. Incapacitate. Solidify.
In a story of no more than 10 sentences, use these three words in any order. The point is to create a story line that allows you to link them all naturally, without forcing them into random places.
Training Is Over
“We’ve trained for this position, it’s just like back at the academy.”
“The stakes are a bit higher, don’t you think? These guys aren’t shooting blanks at us, and they outnumber us 12 to 2!”
“We just need to keep our cover, support fire and take our shots when we get a chance. Hopefully we can incapacitate a few of them and make the others think twice.
Then if any stop to help or hesitate we can solidify the advantage and pick them off. You’ve won awards for your shooting, I need you to take a deep breath and demonstrate why. I’ve got your back, let’s do this.”
