The Psychology Of Control

“When faced with a large gathering that is not responding to the order to disperse, treat the group as a single organism. You need to demonstrate to its members they are not safe in the group. It is this safety that blunts the effectiveness of fear as a weapon.

Incapacitate any obvious group leaders, if there are no obvious leaders random use of ‘incapacitation’ should solidify your position of control”.

Random use of incapacitation, I knew that meant random acts of violence. I closed the Control Force training manual and looked around me. That was it, I couldn’t carry on with this any more. The training was supposed to make me more loyal to the Administration, but it had driven me to rebel against it.

Rebel, that was the only way. There was no way of talking through this, the Administration didn’t work that way. It talked the language of violence and it had taught me to speak that language.
