When It's too good to be true .. it probably is.

It had been a normal day, and that terrified her more than anything. The house was quiet, the blinds were pulled back to let the sunshine in and it was squeaky clean. Leading to years before peace was something she could only dream of, wishing for better days, sleep was the only thing that she was prepared to do.

Normal was an understatement, nothing was normal for her. She was the weird chick at school and both of her parents were never at home. Dad was either out cheating on mom for the thousand of time and mom was somewhere trying to drink down the hurt that he was causing. She, on the other hand, was left to take on things by herself and deal with it all on her own. Instead of negative thinking she turned it around and made it a positive, that morning she woke up and made herself a breakfast as big as her head. Pancakes with blueberry muffins, sausage, and bacon with a tall glass of orange juice. Her morning was made.

People around her always talked about “planning” their days. This whole new normal thing gave her time to do that so she thought to her self why not? She started to plan her day. This is what she planned out for the day:

8:00 am: breakfast

8:30: The morning walk

9:00-3 pm College (might not go)

3:30: Another walk

4:00: Home

At night she got the luxury to go to sleep peacefully with the sound of the night wind hitting her eardrum and the feeling of it hitting

her skin and kissing her arms, she folded her hands on her face and closed her eyes. It was something magical about that. No arguing, no fights the back and forth became too normal for her ears, and most of all no foul language. This unexpected normal day and night had turned into a week straight and that’s when she started to worry, her parents still were nowhere around and they didn’t even call. I mean it’s not like they called anyway but it still was a worry for her. She picked up the house phone and called all the people around in her father's phone book that he had by the phone that was placed in the wall, she knew it would be harder to try to track down her mother so she started with her father first.

Because she knew who her father's mistresses were she began to call them one by one to see if they could give her as much information as they could. First was Carla, Carla was her dad's main he loved that woman, he probably loved her more than the whiskey he drunk and boy did he drink a lot of whiskeys. Carla had no idea where he was and neither did the rest of them. It would have taken her all night to call everyone in the phone book so she left a message for Carla, to give to him if she came across him. As for as her mom, she knew it would take days to try to find her so she left that for tomorrow to do.

Both of her parents were dead and the new nice “normal” became the new nightmare of her life. The next morning brings terrifying news and a new reality to face for life.
