All In A Golden Afternoon
All in a golden afternoon
Under the skies of cloudless blue
A young girl sways on her swing
Wishing for something to do
Her mind starts to drift to a far off place
Where orange and red grass grew
She ran over hills and swam through rivers
Ate many strange fruits and some she knew
Galloped across fields on the unicorn
She’d found in the orchard and named Sue
Walking around a small town she came across
She was loved by many and disliked by few
She built a long story of many chapters
And a lengthy epilogue too
All in a golden afternoon
Under the skies of cloudless blue
