Life time
Birds twerp and sing and sadly it’s the first day of school. The best sounding day of the year and school starts, great! I push the soft, soft covers over and say goodbye, I’ll miss you and start the day. Of course I have to put extra deodorant on because as my mom says, you don’t want to have a bad impression. My clothes I picked out last night are already ironed and perfect. I slide the slick shirt on along with the leggings and slip my vans on, time to go. I grab the new Vera Bradley set of a backpack and lunchbox and head downstairs for breakfast, pancakes, again! Looking down as I walk down the steps, I start to count and as I hit the floor I count, 17. With a big sigh I go to the front door to put my backpack down and I see, gulp, blood! Quickly I slammed open the door and I saw my dog, Toby, sitting on the front step with a missing eye and bullet wound in the side of his head. It was odd, he was laying down in a perfect manner, and I didn’t see him yesterday or here a gun shot? Could he have been kidnapped and shot, or did he run into the field a block away to the cows and have gotten shot then? Frightened I jolt up the stairs and shout for mom, she jumps out of bed and trembles down the steps. All of a sudden, she walks away and goes to her room. I listen through the door and hear her soft sobs, following her mumbles, “I knew I shouldn’t have told him to get away, it’s all my fault!” The sound of breaking glass and ripped up pillows, then a gasp. Without a hesitation I ripped open the door and saw mom glaring at a broken picture frame of, dad! She started sobbing, and sobbing she then yelled at me with a furious look in her eye like it was my fault. “Get out!” Hesitating I opened the door and left, but the sound of slamming doors led me in and I saw her holding a knife then she saw me, she took the sharp blade and slid it across her neck. I lunged forward and she tilted, then with a thud she hit the disastrous floor. My hand jolted to my pocket and I immediately dialed 911. After a long conversation of back and forth, what do I do and everything will be ok the phone was hung up and police sirens were already there. The police saw Toby and shook there heads and went along, the steps were the only thing between the police and my mental and dead mother. The climb sent a chill down my spine and the viewing of her started off with a gasp. What do I do? My dog was shot in the head and my mother killed herself with a sharp blade! Help!
