The Reservation
My best friend means the world to me. She’s the only person in the world who cares about me. So I decided to get her a reservation at a fancy restaurant for her birthday.
I asked her boyfriend to take me to the restaurant since I didn’t have a car. We both went in and paid the receptionist to give us a reservation, which was possible only after 15 minutes of persuading.
The two of us decided to go get ice cream to celebrate our victory. Then, when we came home, she was sitting stiffly on the couch looking at her phone. She reminded of my mom when she found out I snuck out of the house to go to a party. She turned her phone, and me and nick stared at the screen, confused.
Elsie got up from the couch and screamed, “Nick! Sumi! How could you two hurt me like this! Nick I love you. Sumi, I trusted you! And this is what you do! Get out. Now! I never want to see your faces again!”. Nick and I tried convincing her but she didn’t listen. We quietly left to give her some space.
And that day was the end of two great relationships.
