(Heads up this doesn’t follow the prompt but I thought ‘twas important for me to write this fun little essay about Christmas so enjoy. )

Christmas is a problem, scratch that Christmas is problematic. It wasn’t always but it is now. I hope you will take these problems and try to solve them in your own lives because it would make Christmas and the world much better.

Problem #1: Commercialism

Christmas has become to commercial for anyone but big chain mall sand stores to like. Tis no longer about Christ but about Santa and light contests and tree’s and cookies. Tis sad that it hast lost its original meaning. Tis just too commercial for it to be meaningful.

Problem #2: The take over of other holidays.

I know I’m guilty of do this as well but people put up all their Christmas before thanksgiving and don’t even decorate to the holiday anymore. This is the result of the commercial Christmas we have each year.

Problem #3: selfishness

This is a big one. Christmas has become about getting. Getting toys getting money getting candy getting whatever. Tis sad that Christmas is no longer the season about the joy of giving but tis about the joy of getting.

I mean there are excuses here, but as a teen and kid we talk about what we want and make our wish list before we shop for others presents. Now when I said there are excuse I meant this, a 5 year old isn’t goin to shops for his parents presents. And also, we have our loved ones make their wish list before we go shopping, so we may get them what they want.

Aside from that we have gotten selfish we think about what we want not what good we can do others.

Now I hope you can see why Christmas is problematic? I just hope tis reversible.
