COMPETITION PROMPT

Water, fire, earth, and air. What would the four elements say if they could speak to each other?

Include as many or as few elements as you wish.

poem of elements

water

Fire burns, I‘ll start to fade

Can see the world as I evaporate.

Through clouds I dance, air seems so free

There‘s nowhere els I want to be.

Darkness came, a heavy sound

Let it happen, fall to ground.

Earth hugs me like a comfy bed

Let flowers grow as the sun sets.

fire

Water, let the cold you own

Help me tame my anger down.

Forgive me earth, for what I,ve done

Didn‘t mean to burn your forests down.

You and me, we‘re meant to fight

But air, you amplify my light.

I‘m ashamed, didn‘t want to hurt

I‘ll try to change, give you my word.

earth

When water flows, I start to feel

My trees begin to heal

From chaos of fires anger

The plants grow back stronger.

Oh dear air, take my seeds

Guide them with your summer breeze.

Dear elements, I hope you know

That I need each of you to grow.

air

Water takes my breath away

Your streams, idyllic and gay.

I know fire wants no harm

Only meant to give us warmth.

Thank earth for leafs on the ground

It‘s fun to make them whirl around.

We‘re not perfect, we‘ll never be

But without you, there‘d be nothing to feel

I know this poem probably isn‘t perfect because english isn‘t my first language and I was struggling a lot with finding words, but I‘m still gonna upload it here since poetry doesn‘t have to be perfect.
