Harelte: Harpy Hare

I chuckled. “Let's just say… a birdy gave me a clue. Or three.” I rolled my eyes and simply walked away. I slipped my wooden lamb mask on. I may be 12, but in Agraba, you do anything it takes to live. My name is Lei. But some people call me Little Lamb or Lambchop. You don’t show your face unless you are asking for trouble, especially if you are wanted somewhere else in Harelte. Even Kids. Agraba is dangerous. No way out. Only one way in. Smugglers, traders, folklore tellers, and the divinity who I despise to this damn day. Creatures of all kinds are trapped, tortured, killed, or used for labor of all shapes, sizes, and ages.

Who is the Harper Hare you ask? Heh… Harper Hare is the lady, the woman who has children. She keeps them hidden from the world, paranoid that something will happen if she takes them outside. How do I know her? I was one of those children. I was one of the fortunate ones to escape. I tried to help the others, but was quickly forced to run because mother was coming…. Anyway. I am now a storyteller in the plaza. I sing, I dance, I put on a play with other kids, but the money isn't enough. So I sell relics, and special items. There are a few ways to escape. I loved to run out to the forest outside of Agraba. I still do. But I have to work, for my siblings. For the damnned divinity.!
