Good Bye Sunny Days

The birds crow a weeping melody, trees clean of leaves.

Crisp air fills your lungs while the sun grieves.

For she knows we will long for her at the first sight of snow.

You know she’s still there but she doesn’t feel the same, by December we’ll hardly remember her name.

Without her warmth our spirits fall like the leaves the ground claims.

Why can’t we just smoke a joint on the beach like the good ole days, when the sun was bright and kids rode bikes and I rolled us some J’s.

I think of you a lot these days.

This rain and snow make me miss you so much more

When you decided to leave me, were you sure?

Every night I weep with the crows, this ache has no cure.

Maybe in the next life we’ll both feel the same.

Until then I’ll love you even when the seasons change.
