The petals slowly fell. It was cherry blossom season and everyone was taking their partners for a walk through the gardens. Everyone enjoyed them no one could make the mood sour. Elvenia walked through enjoying the sights the cherry blossoms' petals fell and slowly one fell into her hand. She walked further on smiling softly as she watched couples put flowers in their loved one's hair, hands, or shirt pockets. As she finished walking through the beautiful pink gardens she enjoyed the views. A straight road, unpaved with dirt. The sides were lined with cherry blossom trees, and benches that were there occasionally. Couples hand-in-hand enjoy the view and the embrace of a loved one. The soft breeze made the petals fall more frequently than normal. Looking around was enjoyable, yes, however, she couldn’t stop thinking of him, seeing him. The more she looked the more she saw him. His soft smile and warm brown eyes. The eyes that no matter what always looked at her lovingly with no disgust no remorse, and not a hint of regret with loving the one in front of him. Another petal fell into her open palm, she looked around seeing him once again. She turned her back wiping the tears in her eyes. She thought that maybe, just maybe she could come back it was the last place they had been together before he had to leave. She should at least be able to enjoy that right? Right? She look down at the petal in her hand one last time and turned before walking away trying to leave the past behind her once again.
