Hallow’s Eve

It’s a stormy Hallow’s Eve

Children are already roaming the streets

From princess’s to gremlins, all here to see

There is one thing quite unsettling

A man under an umbrella staring right at me

Seems his soul left his eyes,

Skin to match the moon at night

But with him flies

a big blue butterfly

Wings so bright they could be a star dancing in the sky

He didn’t speak a word

Just sat and observed

My stomach began to whirl

I nod my head

Then hurried onto the next curb

Chills on my back and chills to my toes

All I could think

“He had a hollow pit for a nose”

Absurd!

My thinking seems to be demented, maybe disturbed

Imagination gets the best of me

But that presences was cold

A man with energy like a ghost
