It was on the shoreline, huge and dark until one of the braver ones went to investigate, flicking on his torch and setting off across the sand.

He disappeared into the monstrous shape as if he were swallowed by a whale. None of us talked we were afraid and on the run, only ever finding enemies and never friends.

We waited anxiously, could this be a shelter where we could rest awhile.

A figure appeared from the wreck waving to us that it was safe to approach. But was it our friend, there was only one way to find out.
