The Final Step

“Sigh” muscles aching like something just hit me a 1000 times. “ that was fun we should do this more often.” Luna said to me with sweat running down her face like race cars on a track. “ at least I have somebody to run with”. Still panting like a dog on a summer day. “ u have a nice night Jay”, “you too as well” i threw right back at her. Thinking to my self when walking back home, I wonder how she run this far. I barely see her run and at all, well it’s good I have a running partner now. As walking through the door my dogs already there, jumping up and down like a frog or cricket. “ hey buddy, I missed you.” Saying while plopping my face in his fur like it’s a pillow. “ hey Jay how was it.” My mom said while cooking dinner. “ it was great, watcha cooking.” While smelling the delicious smell filling the house. Even my dog was drooling cause of it, “ making some Chinese chicken.” Smirking at me knowing is my favorite. “ you mean it!” Looking at her with eyes light like supernova. “ yep, now get your mouth off the floor and come sit.” I set my stuff down and went straight for the table. “ after I eat ima take a shower.” “ good cause, I can smell you over the food.” “Heeeey” I said looking all red as a rose, she chuckled a little.. clack, “ here you go a good Chinese meal”. She said with pride after serving it to me. I’m already drooling and copper too ( my dog ) “ thank you so very much for this meal, and thank the lord I could go through that run.” My mom laughed. “ now go on, eat.” “oh yea,” “Mmmmm best Chinese chicken ever.” “ even the buffet,” “ better than buffet.” I said with full mouth of food like a little kid.(20 min later)after I was done I said,“thank you for this, it’s honestly too good.” “ no big deal, it’s my job to be your mother. Remember you’re only 16 try to be a kid as long you can.” Mom said still looking proud as ever. “ I’ll try, I’m gonna take a shower now.” Saying while cleaning my dish. (10 min later) what time is it? 7:43 already! I guess that rub really took time out of today. “ hey mom I going to bed soon” I yelled wondering if she heard me. “Ok have sweet dreams I might come up later.” She said with her lovely voice.
