I wish i had never let go,

But the ground is coming quick, and i am getting closer to that snow.

The railing that i had held onto kept me on the precipice of life and death,

And now, im wondering whenever my chest moves if it will be my final breath.

Despite, it is not only regret that is filling my soul as i fall,

It is also the excitement for my inevitable cessation, existing above it all.

That pure bright light will come soon, peaceful, soothing,

My body left on this earth, eyes closed and unmoving.

Whether i am met with omnipotent hands at the great gates or lost in darkness forevermore,

Never again will i be discarded or uncared for.

Different beliefs contrast, but all believe that in the end there will be tranquility,

Souls all floating in an abyss, accepting of the inevitability.

No matter how afraid, or not, a person may be,

You can never escape it, there will not be a single anomaly.
