The picture that was worth a thousand words
They say that “A picture is worth a thousand words”. This is why i’m a photographer.
Looking at many different perspectives of things and taking the photo. I saw a moment which I thought would look perfect as a digital creation and I captured it through a lens.
I love my job for so many reasons, but I think the best reasons is the many things I get to see and experience during the day, not just focusing on the main part of an image but really taking in everything I am capturing, what job could make me more happier.
Today I set off for my biggest project yet, one that will be cherished forever. I was going to the beach where my loved one said her final goodbyes to planet Earth. I have been hired for a wedding, which makes it even more emotional for me. That’s part of the job, i guess.
All of the memories I had were coming straight back to me, the sweet smell of the donuts, or the crashing waves of the sea continuously creating background noise. It felt like home, a place where I went whenever I felt like I couldn’t do it. This place always made me fee special.
The weddings was spectacular, and graceful. The bride and groom were lovely people, in their mid-forties, had a son and a daughter who were brought up with good manners. I loved the whole event, from taking the many photos, whilst taking in the atmosphere, remembering all the old memories with her.
I felt like she was with me, watching over my shoulder. Guiding me to create the perfect images, for my sake and for the couples sake.
The bus journey home was an emotional one, but one of my greatest. Filled with memories, and thousands of digital creations that were constructed with thought out perspectives and angles.
A picture is worth a thousand words, because now that couple can look back and remember there beautiful wedding and I can look back at the personal photographs and remember her, the one that helped me with it all.
