Little Friends All Around Us

The forest floor holds many tales

Timeless as the tides

Look closely, dear, as you can see

The creatures which reside

Overlooked and underloved

The ones that call this home

Crawling, squirming, inching about

This world is theirs to roam

Under all the mushrooms caps

The frogs stay safe and sound

Look a wee bit closer

For spiders can be found

The snail is in no rush to move

It crawls in its own time

It finds a little mushroom

Perfectly suited to climb

It sits atop his firey throne

Just happy to be alive

Thankful for the friends it has

In this forest in which they thrive
