WRITING OBSTACLE
Write a letter to a friend, from the perspective of someone living 100 years in the future.
What commonplace things might they mention that would surprise a reader now, and how can you use these to drive an interesting narrative?
Letter to a friend
Dear Morgan
I miss you dearly, things are getting lonely down here in the core, but I know your surface work is important at least that's what my implant keeps telling me. Research has been going well I feel we are close to breaking through more biological barriers and paving the way to further synchronicity with our implants, but that's enough corporate talk. How are you? How is the surface? What does the sun feel like? I hope to hear back from you soon. I do miss you, the android clone just isn't cutting it anymore. I hope you can come back soon.
Love, Alice
