STORY STARTER
Dragons really do exist, but they're certainly not mean and terrifying...
The Majesty Of Creation
“Many think that dragons are just fairy tales or possibly some made up story to entertain children. But they really do exist. And they are certainly not mean or terrifying, that is unless you aggravate them.” I smiled slyly and then paused, taking in the glorious wonders above me.
Then I looked at Elaria, “the world is filled with wonders, if only you take a moment to look.” Elaria said nothing but her mouth hung open and her eyes were wide with awe. The light of a million colors reflected off the sparkling scales of the dragons as they looped and twisted with a grace that none can put to words.
“It is the very majesty of creation,” I said. “A glorious display of Gods wonders.” Then one dove, spinning and splaying fire as it went. The awesome blow sent sparks flying and the blue red flames went up in a tornado around it. just before it hit the ground It curled out its wings with a thunderous beat and landed heavily in front of them. It roared mightily as it thundeously reverberated throughout the valley.
“Nehadar,” I grinned as I walked up to her. “Emaliyn,” Nehadar’s voice boomed in my mind. She lowered her neck and I rubbed her head. She purred in a rumbling sort of way.
Eventually I looked back at Elaria, she was standing in the same place, legs locked and eyes wide. “I believe you have someone to meet.” Elaria shook her head violently and backed away.
Nehadar moved out from under my hand and walked slowly towards Elaria. Elaria seemed to be stuck in place and could not move. Her knuckles were white as she griped her journal. Nehadar stopped in front of her and moved her head so it was level with Elaria’s.
Nehadar’s large green eyes stared at Elaria and Elaria shut her eyes tightly. Ever so slowly she moved her hand up to Nehadar’s head. I smiled knowing what would happen next. When Nehadar let Elaria touch her and didn’t do anything Earia opened her eyes.
Suddenly she laughed. I didn’t know what Nehadar said to her but I knew that it would make Elaria see. Then with a thunderous leap Nehadar jumped to the sky. She climbed and climbed until she was no more than a dot to them.
I walked over to Elaria, “now do you believe?” I asked. She nodded, too amazed to put anything to words.
