Write an Etheree poem on any theme you like.

An Etheree is a ten-line poem where the first line has one syllable, the second has two, and so on up to ten syllables (or this structure in reverse).

My Lips Tell-

Poetry

Lies:

-Pretend

-Trick, toy with

-Act, put on masks

-Cleverly don’t say

-Deny, betray, hide, hoard

The sly-footed fox misguides

Can hurt a heart, can save a soul

Can break apart, can hold together

Can shelter a mind from the blunt knife of-

Truth.

Gut punch.

Harsh and hard.

Hard to take in.

Hard to give away.

All secrets spill over

Relief once they leave your tongue

Can hurt a heart, can save a soul

Can break apart, can hold together

Better to lose telling truth than win with-
