Walk. Run. Run! Keep on running and never look back. But I did and there he was looking at me chasing me. Getting closer. Too close. I dodged and weaved as his flailing arms tried to grab me. I would not get caught. They would not find me. That celebrity would leave me alone forever. My hands shook; I ran around the corner. Waiting, waiting and slowly I pulled the gun out of my pocket; he walked around the corner. The gun raised itself so it was pointing at his chest. His shirt was drenched in blood before I knew what was happening. It blossomed like flowers across the white shirt. Looking at what I had done I saw the life leave his eyes. Never again. I would never kill again. I would never look into someone’s dying eyes. Never again see their faces go cold. Never again watch someone fall to the floor. I sat down and pulled the body closer to me. I looked into his eyes. “I’m sorry,” I whispered to myself, “but I loved him too much, I had to save him.
