JSN And The Computer
I entered the interview,
My confidence unbroken.
The questions, expected,
My answers were well-spoken.
Knowledge of the work,
Sure I’d learn on the job.
Technology was a must,
But I scraped by uncaught.
I left the interview,
My story a success!
Who knew, later on,
I'd have to confess.
Heavy objects, I could lift,
Orders and phone calls, I’d take.
Day by day, going through,
My paycheck at stake.
Finally one day,
I let my secret be known.
“I can't do the computer,
It's too confusing a zone.”
They all laughed with a smile,
Friendly ribbing to follow.
“I made clear in my interview,
Technology’s too hard to swallow.”
One replied to my complaint,
Composed but with a smile:
“You didn't have to prove it,
We’ve all known that for a while.”
