Alone as your last glimpse of light diminishes.

It teases you as your safety tucks behind vagrant white blankets of silk.

You banish the intrusive thoughts in your brain.

No consciousness around.

Just you.

“I’m fine!” You shout, “I’m fine!”

A delicate hand upon your shoulder.

“No you’re not.” They say.

Their voice of poison toxic in your ear.

A reflection of silver upon their eyes of hatred as they mutter under their breath,

“Goodbye...”.
