The End

Grey ash falls gently from the sky like snow used to. It’s been the closet thing we’ve seen to snow for about 5 years now. The world is increasingly getting worse and there is nothing we can do. The government tells us everything is gonna be fine but deep down we know the earth is dying. We didn’t listen to all those people telling us to save the turtles, keep the oceans clean and recycle our trash. Now the earth has just become one giant landfilled and it’s our faults. We can’t even walk outside without putting on the proper gear to keep us from the toxic fumes. Air filters have been placed inside each of our homes to keep us alive. Even with all the protection we were given at least five people die each day. Our oxygen is decreasing and we won’t have much longer until we’re all gone.

It’s around day 911 and our population now consist of about 30 people less than an average of students in a classroom. We all live in one large shelter struggling to make it through each day. We’ve tried to grow plants to help our oxygen levels but from the lack of sun we have they all end up dying. Water and food is pretty much impossible to obtain now. All we hope and pray for is one giant miracle.

Day 976 and I’m the only one left. It’s dark and I’m pretty sure sunshine doesn’t exist on the earth anymore. The thickness of the ash and dust block the sun from lighting the world up like it once did. I think I’m ready to go now maybe I’m just imagining the darkness or my eyes have been closed this whole time but I’m ready for death to take me.

Day 1000.....
