Having minor surgery, and knowing you’re getting out tomorrow, you bear with it. Here I am laying on the hospital bed, waiting for my pain medication. I kept on pressing the buzzer for the nurse, but, the nurse never came. Every five minutes, I’m pressing the button for my pain medication. It’s was 3 am , I hear moaning in the next room. It was a elderly woman. She sounded like she was in horrific pain. At 3:15 AM. I still hear this elderly woman moaning. I hear the Nurse, yelling in the hall at the patient, who was moaning. SHUT UP.im busy replies the nurse. The patient cries out to the nurse that she was in Pain. I have no time for this, replied the nurse at 4 AM in the morning. I hear the nurse and the doctor at 5 am talking about the patient who was moaning. She had passed away in her sleep of a heart attack. That pain the patient was experiencing were signs of a preventable heart attack. I hear the nurse asking the doctor. What do I tell the children? Doctor replied; tell her children she died peacefully in her sleep.
