POEM STARTER
Who are we when no one is watching?
Write a poem that answers this question.
Silly Solitude
When no one is watching
We remember how to play
How much we love to sing
How much fun dancing can be
And that music is best when it’s loudest
When no one is watching
We’re the world’s best comedian
Giving the most thought provoking TED talks
Making up noises that spark joy
Just to fill the silence
When no one is watching
We get nostalgic about small things
Drop the mask and let tears flow
Pick at blemishes and scabs
We flex and poke and prod
And make a silly face
Remembering who we are
When no one is watching
We breath a sigh of relief
Let ourselves just be ourselves
Exist without grief
Feel at peace with all we are
And enjoy the home that is ourself.
