He twirled me under the the sleepy stars,

That wink like Cupids from off afar.

Then gently into the frilly grass,

We lay ourselves with time to pass.

He turns to me, face with moonbeam glow,

And his eyes twinkle, twinkle because they know.

They know my name, my thoughts, my wishes,

And also my pain, my tears as I do the dishes.

But that’s why he’s here, right by my side,

Because he’s there for me, through thin and wide.
