The City and The Sun
His mirror buildings
Kiss her coral skies,
Carress the parting daylight
With screams of agony.
He reaches,
But she is already gone.
Cherry blossoms
Paint the echo
Of her skin;
A final gift
To ease the parting blow.
His many eyes fill
With tears of light
As iridescent sadness
Spreads throughout
The city
And into the suburbs.
For his love
Has left him forever.
Or at least until tomorrow.
