War had always been in Alavin. Since from before Ashlyn could remember the kingdoms of Quarrin and Alavin were at each others necks. Sworn enemies rivals, hating the other with deep venom and a yearning to destroy one another. Hate and loathing so deep it was hard to see how it started really and if it would ever end.

But Ashlyn would make it end. Too many times her people, and the ones that she loved had been killed and hurt by the Quarrish. She would end it, or die trying. No one deserved justice more than her especially after- she scolded herself. Never think about it.
