I’m following the prompt this time lol. The whole thing does go wrong though.

A power outage, a ruined cake and lost tickets wasn’t expected this birthday, but I guess it shows anything can happen at anytime. Even the worst things.

It all started as we got to Andy’s Arcade and got to our reserved area. I thought the lights flickered, but I thought it was just me. I was wrong.

Everything was going well until the A cake mess up from Sweet Treats. We ordered a vanilla cake with vanilla icing. The cake was supposed to say Happy Birthday in pink letters.

But I guess Sweet Treats was also catering for a funeral because when they delivered the cake it said in somber black letters, Sorry For Your Loss, Mrs. Lois.

Mom laid them out over the phone and we ended up getting a refund. Still didn’t make up for the strawberry cake we got. It was surprisingly good for the fact it was made for something so dark.

Suddenly, I saw my first party guest.
