The idea of you

Polished to a shine

Placed on a mantel

Ready to show off

Love

But was it really

Or something else.

I had this

Vision

Painted to perfection

A vision of love

Written in the skies

But people make mistakes

And sometimes the fantasy

The shined to perfection

Dream is weak.

Love,

This perfect

Idea of you

And I

Not so perfect

But we painted it on

Paper

Black ink

On white paper.
