I Do...Don’t You?
The yelling that came from Bellona’s basement was beginning to disturb her neighbors. All she wanted was to have just one night go right with her lovely little girlfriend, who actually wasn’t her girlfriend at all. She and Tullia had been together for a whole month (though it certainly was not a month of joy) and she wanted to make it a special occasion with an even more special proposal. But, of course, Tullia had to ruin it.
“This...this is not normal. You need to let me go home!”
Tullia pleaded with Bellona to let her leave, which seemed to only anger her. Bell had went out with Tullia only once, they went for coffee and decided to hang out at Bellona’s place. Ever since, Bellona had kept the woman right where she wanted, quite literally.
“But why won’t you say yes, I don’t understand!” Bellona was screaming by now.
She was headstrong in all the worst ways, and with her plethora of issues when it came to ‘cause and effect’ thinking, she didn’t have the most loving personality. This especially showed as she proposed to the woman she was keeping locked up in her house. As soon as Tullia had said ‘I can’t’ it seemed hell truly broke loose in the little basement area. Lamps were shattered, everything was strewn about, but Tullia, of course, was left completely unscathed. Bellona would never lay an angry finger on her, but she would certainly show Tullia exactly how she felt by destroying other items all around.
Bell continued her angry shouts and even smashed a window that, though only a few inches, lead outside—somewhere Tullia had missed greatly. As soon as the window was in pieces on the floor in front of her, Tullia knew her chances of escape were growing. Her chances seemed to amplify as Bell raged, breaking any object she could.
Before long, more and more people in the neighborhood noticed, and a couple walked over to check on Bellona, who was normally described as a ‘quiet and lovely neighbor’.
Hearing a hard knock on her door, Bellona paused her screeching momentarily. That was when she made a big mistake, and began bringing her rage party up the stairs to answer the front door.
Tullia sighed through her trembled panting, and slowly took in the most relieving breath she’d had in a month. She then screamed, knowing it practically ensured her freedom. As the chaos continued, she kept yelling and smiled all the while. Even the horrors she’d dealt with had brought joy to her before Bell.
